The original sealant formulation, released 2.5 years ago, was designed primarily for effective puncture sealing by maximising the surface area of the liquid latex for enhanced performance. Pro racers valued its convenience, as they frequently changed tires based on race conditions and could easily pour in fresh sealant without needing to inject it through the valve. However, we heard two main concerns from more casual cyclistsit dried out quickly when not in use, and its composition of the longer strand carbon fiber made injection difficult and problematic, leading to a potentially messy installation if not handled carefully.
Lastly, the old Natural Latex formula needed a two-step process to stay liquid longer. That has been eliminated with our new blend of natural and synthetic latex. SILCA Ultimate Sealant Is a one-step process lasting +6 months and still, above all else, sealing punctures on race day.

Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in Australia. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kgs.
Please note once goods have been paid in full and send via freight company Chain Gang is not liable for lost or damage goods, any duties and taxes that may need to be paid.
Returns
The Customer may return or exchange unused Goods in its original packaging within 7 days of receiving them for a full reimbursement less all freight charges and less a 10% handling / administration charge.
Chain Gang reserves the right to refuse to accept such returns under any circumstance, examples may include – superseded Products, Products altered or damaged, Products specifically provided for the Customer.
Products returned after 7 days may be returned to Chain Gang, at the Chain Gang’s complete discretion. Such returns will attract a minimum 25% restocking and handling fee (plus all transport costs). Additional charges may apply depending on how long the Customer has been in physical possession of the Products.
